This little cozy venue is the second but only of a well known Japanese restaurant Itoshin in Mermaid Beach. This venue is the owner chef Hibiki’s passion to let Japanese food lovers enjoy watching his cooking in front of 11 counter seats. Two tables and outside seats are also good for friends catching up.

Hello from Restaurant

Owner Hibiki Ito, a master of the art of Japanese cooking, designed the space himself finding vintage chairs and tables and eclectic little decorative pieces to enliven the space. The floor is tiled in black and white and a bar takes up one corner, overlooking Hibiki at work.
We recommend perching there if possible because watching him work, with precision and a unique artistic flair is quite the mesmerising experience.

Oysters  3pcs $12 , 6pcs $22

We buy top quality oysters directly from a local oyster farmer in Conffin Bay, SA. Shucked daily, often done to order, they are in season right now until the end of October. We serve them natural with finger lime, wasabi and yuzu soy.

Sashimi  $24

Yellow fin tuna from Mooloolaba, OceanTrout from Tasmania, Hiramasa Kingfish from Eyre Peninsula,SA.,and Hokkaido Scallops served with avocado, truss tomato, baby quke, sprouts and GF soy w/ grated wasabi.

Beef Tataki  $18

Premium Grass fed Eye fillet middle seared and sliced, served with fresh vegis, Itoshin dressing, yuzu soy vnegar crunchy garlic and seven spice.
