Yasaka Ramen is one of the best ramen in Sydney’s CBD! Offering a tonkotsu based broth with your choice of shoyu (soy), shio (salt), or miso variations. Build upon the base recipe with extra toppings such as kakuni, chashu, corn, and nori seaweed. Kakuni is head chef Takeshi’s number 1 topping, so give it a go. Also on the menu you’ll find Japanese curry also made from the tonkotsu soup, dumplings, fried chicken, and Japanese beers and drinks.
This is a good location for the single person looking for a quick lunch, or large groups looking for somewhere to stay and hang out! Stay downstairs and eat on the kitchen bar so you can watch the chefs assemble your noodles, or ask to sit upstairs if you’d like a more leisurely meal with bigger tables. If you’re keen to learn a bit more about ramen, try to drop by when they’re making noodles, which you can see from the storefront window. The attention to detail and consistent focus on improvement is what makes Yasaka stand out. They really live by their motto, No Ramen No Life.
Our menu recommendation is the special ramens, like Kokumaro Ramen – a fish based broth that will get ramen enthusiasts excited!
